You can now book areas in Beer Village to hold your own outside events

Events in 2022

Many events are now coming back as the Covid restrictions are eased. Our usually vibrant Village Diary will now start to fill up. You can find information about booking spaces in Beer for your events, and we hope to see many people back in 2022. If you want to talk to us about your future events please email the contact information and we can give you basic information.


You can usually book our lovely areas in Beer Village to hold your own outside events: Jubilee Gardens & Charlie’s Yard.

They each offer different outlooks and different capacities. Bookings can be made for short-term use of Beer Parish Council land with activities including anything from family parties, Club events, markets and food events, through to festivals, and more. We are happy to discuss plans with you. If you need advice or more information, just contact our Events Coordinator.

The rates for renting spaces, are very reasonable, and we are happy to offer discounts for Beer residents and organisations. Please contact our Village Manager for details, email Please state in your email which area you are interested in booking, the date your require it and the length of time you require it.

There’s always lots going on in Beer. Before you plan any event, please consult our Village Diary to ensure that your event does not conflict with another event that is already taking place in the Village.

Applications should be submitted at least four weeks before the space is required to give time for processing. Please submit your application on the Beer Events Application form, which can be obtained by emailing the Events Coordinator.
If you are planning to have stalls/pitches at your event, you will need to submit details of the planned stalls.

Various trading regulation apply in East Devon, and we can advise you which apply for your event. If you intend to have music, sell alcohol, or have traders stalls at your event, you will also need to apply to EDDC directly for these as they are licensable activities. It is the responsibility of the event organiser to contact EDDC for advice and guidance regarding licensable activities, street trading consents and the requirement for a Temporary Event Notice Email:  Call 01395 516551.
