1st Beer Scout and Cub Group

Providing Scouting and outdoor activities for boys and girls from Beer, Seaton and Branscombe. Cubs 7.5-10.5 years old on Tuesday nights 6.30-8.00pm. Scouts 10.5-14 years old on Thursday nights 7.15-8.45pm. We need additional adult support as leaders, committee members or sectional helpers.

Beer & District Horticultural Society

Organises and maintains floral displays in Beer. Organises Flower Show and Charm Show. Maintains a high standard of floral displays to meet “Britain in Bloom” requirements.

Fishing from both the shore and boat once a month, regularly competing against other clubs. Offers an informal focus for sea anglers in the area.

Beer Albion Football Club

We provide football facilities for players from 16+ and play in the Devon and Exeter league. We are always looking for new players and people who want to join the committee.

Badminton Club

Badminton is held in the Mariners’ Hall. Mondays are open evenings for £3 and Wednesdays are £3 per hour. Anyone can join in between 6pm and 9pm. No membership fee.

Bat Friendly Beer

Working group formed to promote Beer as bat-friendly and ensuring benefits for bats, other wildlife and people.  Includes many local organisations and businesses collaborating to deliver education, community engagement and practical environmental tasks within Beer and the surrounding area, with the aim of achieving Bat Friendly Accreditation for the village.

We run the Fine Foundation Centre on the beach. We organise and promote talks and events to encourage an interest in the heritage of the village and local wildlife. Numerous member activities and all are welcome. We especially welcome volunteers to help in maintaining the Centre on the beach
